Customer Review: Defective Lamp and Awful Customer Service

Twenty minute assembly, but the lamp was defective. It flashed for a brief second and then went out. Upon inspection I could see that the bulb was cracked. I called the service line but only "sales" was there at the customer service number. If they had said that they would call me in the morning, that would have been fine. But, no. They refused to take a message and told me to call them back tomorrow. When I started to say I would return the lamp, they hung up on me. What? Is that customer service? I should keep trying until "I" reach them? Better that I get a lamp from someone who will service it. However, Amazon is fantastic with their no hassle returns!! Printed out the return label immediately.
Good for you, Amazon!

The pieces of this lamp are heavy and difficult to maneuver, especially if you have arthritis in your hands, but the company did not include a necessary L wrench to secure the pieces together. The directions were vague, but I managed to put it together without securing the shafts together for now. It works, but it is not necessarily safe as is. I had other L wrenches and small screwdrivers that didn't fit the holes. In the long run, although I'm not going to return it, I feel this item was not worth the price.Customer Review: Defective

The product I received was totally defective. The base of the lame was defective so that the shaft could not be inserted, holes lined up and screw put in place. Really upset as it took so much time to unpack and will have to repack. Will not deal with them again.
