It's bright, smartly built, sturdy...I deducted one star for the Ni-Cad rechargeable batteries that come with it. They only last about half the time they claim. I replaced them with Eneloop NiMH AA's and now I get 5 hours between charges. I was trying to find something compareable to the ott-lite. But this didn't come close. It seemed more like shining a flashlight on your work area. I purchased the ott-lite instead!
