I needed a better light by my chair to read by, and I wanted to get the current lamp off the table to free up some room, so I went shopping for a good reading floor lamp. I researched lamps, read reviews, studied various types of light, and finally decided to order this one. The research must've paid off because I really like this lamp.
I can't say how easy or hard it was to unpack or put together, since my husband did it for me while I wasn't home, but it looks great and works well. I got the nickel finish and it looks good with our decor. The height of the lamp is adjustable and the light itself swivels so I can get the whole thing positioned right where it needs to be to shine light on what I'm reading without blinding others in the room. The light is a nice white light and there are 3 intensity levels. The on/off knob is on the light itself and might be hard for some people to reach, but I can easily reach it while sitting in the chair.
I've only had it a few months, and don't have kids, dogs, or overly excited cats knocking it around so I haven't had any problems with construction. It does appear to be well built, however, and is heavy enough that I don't think it will fall over too easily.
Overall, I highly recommend this light.
