Customer Review: The vibration though.

Being a traveller who frequently sleeps in noisy hotels with inconsiderate neighbours (sound proofing of doors not exactly being high priority in even the best of most hotels...), I thought a vibrating watch would be a really neat way to sleep with ear plugs and yet be woken up by an alarm.
I am not convinced this watch is the answer though. It is small and light which fits my bill for being portable and easy to travel with. I also like the dual clock (since I am often in a time zone separate from those I might call).
The issues arise with the number 1 reason I bought the watch - to be woken. As a reminder alarm it would probably work fine. The two audible alarms are very discrete with the barest of audible 'peeps' as the audible alarm goes off. The vibration is sufficent to alert you that an alarm has gone off, though I am sure some people will hear the 'zzzffth' sound it makes as it vibrates against you.
As something to wake me up wearing ear plugs though - I'm not so sure. Obviously the extremely delicate peeps are absolutely useless -I have abandoned far more expensive watches for having a similar useless peep! I have even taken 20 minute 'power kips' and slept through that peep! There are plenty of watches out there with a perfectly decent audible alarm - I own one - so I am a bit disappointed this watch is lacking in the audiblity department.
The vibration though.. Works if I'm in a light slumber but I am not so sure it would work if in a deep slumber (say grabbing a couple of hours sleep to recover from jetlag in the afternoon...). I will admit if my wrist is on my pillow, the vibration seems to be magnified intensely and I come flying out of bed, but if my wrist is on the bed, the vibration is greatly reduced. Which makes me wonder if I shouldn't have bought one of those vibrating travel alarm clocks for the deaf instead???!!!
The watchband will defintely be an issue for anyone with slim wrists as well. Yes, I am female and this is a male watch, but I am on the last notch of the band and it still feels loose. I wouldn't even consider this watch for a child...
So for discretion and reminders, this watch is exceptional. For the purpose I bought it for - as an alarm to wake up with, not so good.

The VibraLITE vibrating watch provides a great silent reminder. It features an auto restart countdown mode that vibrates at any time interval you choose (e.g., every two hours). The watch vibrates for approximately 20 seconds, then automatically resets itself to count down again. Easily pause the countdown timer when a reminder is not needed, and restart it without having to program your interval again! Works great when a silent alert is desired at fixed intervals. You may choose sound and/or vibration. Black/gray leather band model is great for a more sophisticated look. Standard size (watch face is 1.5 inches in diameter).
