Please, please, if you do decide to purchase this product, be aware of my experience. *If you hear an unexplainable faint clicking noise, check the inside of the device by removing the filter cover (in a dark area, of course) for defective wiring that causes audible sparks.*
I was going to put this in my infant son's room, but instead wanted to test it in a hallway beforehand. For a couple of days I would hear a faint clicking sound but dismissed it. Finally, one night I discovered it was this purifier that was sparking consistently, creating the clicking noise.
I understand this may have been a fluke. But certaintly, you wouldn't want anything in your house to be sparking around your CHILD, especially while you are all ASLEEP. What would happen if someone were to touch the insides with wet hands while it was plugged in?! Well, I didn't want to find out, so I returned it promptly.
