This product helped my 3 year old son with a nasty cough sleep during the night and a nap mid-day. His cough was so bad for 3 days he was not sleeping at night and he could not fall asleep for his daily 3 hour nap. We tried giving him honey, childrens tylenol before he went down, but he would not fall asleep. You put 1 tbsp per quart of water used in the Vicks vaporizer. It mixed with the water and came out as steam in his room. Going in his room there was a very heavy vicks smell, but it did the trick. He slept an hour past his usual wake up time this morning, and just now he slept an hour and a half later than he usually does for his nap. Highly recommended since you can't give your kids cold medicine at this young age.

I have both allergy and asthma problems and have a very hard time breathing at night. I started using a vaporizer and that helped some but I needed something to help me with cough and restricted air way problems. I have tried many things and the Vicks VapoSteam works better than anything else I have tried. The smell of it is much better than a lot of the stuff that is out there. I highly recommend trying this (get the 4oz first and see if you like it) Vicks VapoSteam Liquid Medication, Camphor Cough Suppressant - 4 Oz. this is just a cheap alcoholic product with no ingredients to help with cough or breathing. I recently used it with a Vicks Kaz Humidifer as demostrated in the product. However, instead of helping my wife sleep better who was having cough and stuffy nose, it gave me a cough and a hard time breathing. I felt suffocated because of the awful smell of alcohol and had to flush the humidifier and open the room windows and door to let fresh cold air come in and make it better.
I do not understand how can this product claim to have camphor when none of the liquid in it smells even close to camphor.
