Customer Review: No more hairs and yucky stuff on my toothbrush!

This is the greatest idea, because it holds my toothbrush and keeps it clean while in my toiletry bag. It is sleek looking and compact so it fits in easily when I travel. Toothbrushes are meant to CLEAN your teeth but I've read that they can also harbor millions of bacteria and that they thrive in the warm, moist bathroom environment. This has a UV germicidal lightbulb to kill those germs.
Being a bit of an accessory person- I like the sleek look of this item, as it is a nice matte silver color. I don't mind keeping it out on the sink when I stay over when visiting family. I just close the lid and it begins sanitizing my toothbrush with the UV light.
It doesn't make any noise and it is battery operated.
I haven't had to change the batteries, and I've had it for months now. I keep it in my toiletry kit and it is always clean and ready for when I travel.
I have the Full-size VIOlight version for my house, as well.

I have had no problems with my travel unit, I am a very happy customer. I followed the directions which clearly say to tap out excess water before placing into the violight. The unit has an automatic on and off function. If you finish brushing your teeth and put it in the violight, 6 minutes later it shuts off and is ready for the next time you brush. Why would someone continue to open it after they have already brushed their teeth and wonder why it keeps going on? Its because thats what its meant to do. Your suppose to keep your toothbrush in the unit after its is sanitized, taking it out of the unit and letting it air dry would just get more germs on it. I own a few other units and I gotta say violight has really great designs for everyone!Customer Review: Ciao Bacteria

A great product. I initially had trouble with the light turning on, but I noticed that if I SLOWLY closed the lid, the light turned on EVERYTIME. That is the key to getting this product to work if you are one of those having trouble.
The size is great and is a great place to store your toothbrush whether you travel or not. Yes, a long time ago, you would just store your toothbrush in a special holder, but would you want to keep all that bacteria in your mouth. Doctors have recently discovered that not only is it important to keep your teeth clean, but this also gives you an insight into your personal health.

I have found this product to be a God send. I travel to far away countries like India, Turkey, Maylaysia, etc. where the water supply is often questionable. I've always worried about the cleanliness of my toothbrush where I have questioned the germs and bacteria that may live in the water in some these places.
So when my Mother-in-law gave me this as a gift it was a great solution to storing, sanitizing my toothbrush while traveling.

I have a regular Violight for my husband's and my standard toothbrushes, but because I have so much bridgework, I also require a brush with an odd-shaped head. It doesn't fit easily into the regular Violight, but works beautifully in this portable travel model.
If you like Violight products and have the same no-fit problem I do, this model will solve the problem.
