This product is a very potent Vitamin C product with Rose Hips (an alternate form of vitamin C). 1,000 mg of Vitamin C is many times the RDA of Vitamin C. Fortunately, Vitamin C is water soluble and will not build up in your body like the fat soluble vitamins. Any excess Vitamin C will simply be excreted in the urine.
I use the 1 gram form of Vitamin C when I am sick or need healing, such as a wound or post-surgery. Vitamin C is a precursor of collagen, the body's building block protein. Having enough Vitamin C is crucial in healing situations.
