There aren't too many reviews on this but I took a chance on this last week. I wish I had bought this years ago (I think its been around since 2006).
My mom is losing her eyesight and hasn't been able to make phone calls in a couple years now. It seems every cell phone these days has voice dialing, but no landlines (why not?!?!). This unit arrived yesterday, I plugged it in and followed the very simple instructions. Within 15-20 minutes we had a dozen contacts in the phone for my mom.
I can't speak to the longevity of the product having only had it 1 day now, but all of our tests were successful.
Things to note:
1) When you set it up, it seems to only recognize the original person's voice, ie, when I say "home" it does nothing, when my mom says "home" it recognizes it and dials home.
2) It is very accurate. In our modest testing so far there have been no issues of it misunderstanding a contact my mom has said and dialing a different number. Also, as long as you speak clearly, it will understand and put you through.
