I found the Wahl custon shaver to be an excellent buy and very reliable electric shaver. I have owned and used a Whal shaver for over 20 years and love them. The new 5000 electric shaver is a new design that tells you how many shaves you have left on a charge with a number of small led lights that light up and indicate the charge left. Th electric shaver can be charged on 110 volts or 220 volts, making it making it ideal traveling abroad. This new Whal 5000 is the best electric shaver I have ever owned!! BOB
Description of Wahl 7040-614 Custom Shave 5000
Wahl Custom Shave System 5000 featuring Worldwide Rechargeable Cord or Cordless Operation w/LED.This electric shaver fully charges in about 30 minutes and provides about 4 minutes of corded or cordless shaving per charge. The Custom Shave 5000 has a powerful motor for quick, close shaves and comes with three shaving heads for a close shave, a super-close shave, and a sensitive shave for those who tend to get in-grown hairs. Each shaving attachment has dual flexible foil heads that hug the curves along the face, chin, and neck for a smoother, safer shave. The Custom Shave 5000 also has a pop-up trimmer to take care of sideburns, beards, or mustaches. The charger works in both US and overseas voltages, and overcharge protection protects the battery from getting flooded. The shaver has a low-charge indicator and a gauge showing how many shaves are left before the unit needs recharging.
