Customer Reviews of Wahl Lithium Ion All In One TrimmerCustomer Review: amazing design Summary: 5 Stars
I have had this incredible trimmer for over two weeks. Charged for just over an hour when I received it, it has been running full strength ever since. The claims for the lithium battery are not hype. Wahl has scored big with this model. Its design and execution are superb.
I just wish I hadn't bought all those separate pieces in the past (trimmer, nose clippers, T-blade, etc.). For much less money, I could have bought this unit and had them all. The pieces are easily interchanged, once used to the process, and the components are beautiful designed and engineered to fit perfectly. The blades are highest quality, easily maintained, and the high torque of the motor make them great trimmers.
Wahl could have written a better manual, better describing how to change blades. But with little touble, and a modicum of common sense, the skill is acquired easily. The people who say the blades broke just made a mess of it themselves by forcing. Never a good idea with any piece of equipment. Though well within reason, the unit is not as quiet as a good Andis trimmer, but you get many more options for less money. A fair trade-off in my book. And nobody else has the battery and power of this Wahl.
The shaving attachment is rather amazing, and useful, but don't expect the kind of close shave that a dedicated Norelco will give. It is just for convenience and, considering the cost of this set, a rather nice throw-in -- especially for traveling when you don't want a bunch of extra things to pack and carry.
The comb attachments fit securely and, when used with the trimming blade, do a beautiful, easy job. Again, common sense required.
You may need, or want, a larger clipper for big hair cutting jobs but, for any kind of trim, this is your tool.
PRODUCT UPDATE: One full month after that same one-hour charge mentioned above, this amazing unit is still going strong. No diminishing of power at all. Bought a second unit when price dropped radically one day.

I love this clipper! I've used several over the years from Remington, Norelco and Conair, but haven't been all that pleased with their quality and performance. Although the Wahl is more expensive, it is clearly worth it, with better build quality and, more importantly, better results.
I use the trimmer for sideburns, trimming my mustache, and to neaten up around my ears and neck after giving myself a hair cut with the Remington Shortcut (another great product). Other clippers get the job done, but the Wahl has a lot more power and produces a very neat, clean trim line with very little effort. The build quality is quite nice -- it feels solid overall. The blades pop on and off easily, so you can switch from the large edging blade to the small detail trimmer in a snap (literally). It is comfortable to hold with a nonslip grip. Very lightweight. A bit noisy, but all trimmers are.
The only downside is the poor storage tray system. The tray is cheaply made, and does not do a good job of organizing all the attachments. Both Norelco and Remington have much better storage trays. But, you trim with the trimmer and not the tray, so this is a minor point.
Quick to charge, but it does not have a charge indicator light or low battery status indicator. The latter would be nice to have, but since it charges quickly, it's not a big deal.
The least useful attachment is the foil trimmer. I guess it could be handy for some people, but since I have an electric shaver, I don't see much need for this. Plus, even the cheapest electric shaver will do a better job than this attachment. Wahl should have ditched the foil trimmer and put the money saved toward a better storage system.
This is a five star trimmer. Very highly recommended.

While I don't have a beard or mustache, I have hair like the Geiko cavemen to trim, and this "all-in-one-trimmer" handles it all quite well: ear hair, nose hair, neck hair, hair on and around the ears, sideburns, and buzzing my scalp with the 3/8 inch hair trimmer. In addition, the shaver enables me to get to sideburn hairs that my Norelco with its three rotating heads can't get to. I have a corded Wahl hair cutter, but now that I have this unit I don't think I'll need to use the corded cutter again unless of course I decide to change my hair length. It is very powerful, so whatever a lithium ion battery is, it obviously holds a dang strong charge. The unit arrived charged and I've used it since then without recharging to cut my hair as well as to trim hair, for a total of about an hour's use, with no perceivable loss of power. The only con, and it's a minor one, is that the rubberized (and comfortable) handle seems to attract cut hairs, and thus has to be wiped off with a damp cloth. I also, and I suppose this too is a con, do not find the included holder for the unit useful. I can't quite figure out how to fit all the parts and attachments in it neatly, and so I just use the clear plastic tray that the unit came in and put everything in there in a drawer in the bathroom, out of sight and out of the way. All in all, a most impressive unit!
Follow up written on June 14, 2009: I now have a beard. This is a great beard trimmer; couldn't be easier, and it does a neat, clean job.

A while ago I figured out that shaving, every week or two, was not what I wanted to do. Today, I hop in the shower and using my panasonic trimmer (which can be used in the shower) I trim my beard and mustache, no real mess with the hair as it all goes down the drain. The problem that I had was that I did not have a mirror in the shower and so after coming out, there were areas which I was not able to trim as close as I'd like. Also, the design of the panasonic trimmer made it a problem to trim close under the nose area. To fix that, I bought another trimmer which trimmed very close but only in small areas...why am I going on about all these other trimmers instead of reviewing the Wahl? Well, to be honest, I loved the Wahl. BUT, since I am not able to take into the shower with me, I have to let it replace the second trimmer I was using. Now, the Wahl, with all the accessories it comes with, could easily take the place of the panasonic, I like it that much, but having to deal with the clean up is not something I want to put up with. The good news for me is that whenever I have to do a bit more trimming after getting out of the shower, the Wahl handles it all. Under the nose, along the neck, side burns, everything! It's loud, true, but I have no problem with that since it gets the job done quickly! This trimmer costs less than the two I was using before, this will definitely replace the second trimmer and perhaps one day the first as well. For 40 dollars, well worth the money.

If you want to save money and time, and still look great, this groomer is a product you'll want to try.
Though made specifically for men, a little experimenting convinced me that parts of the system can be used effectively for women's grooming too. (Why not?)
A couple examples of how women can best use the groomer:
1) the dual head shaver does a great job with little "touch up" grooming jobs (as in toes, and around ankles, or anywhere else that you missed when you didn't have your glasses on, or were grooming by candlelight in the bathroom).
2) the clipper blade is great for those of us with short-hairdo's--to touch up necklines between salon visits.
These pieces, as well of the rest of the system (11 pieces total) is an efficient way for men to get a fresh from the barber/stylist look at a fraction of the cost.
Also, for any man or woman who hates the commitment of stylist/barber appointments -- time is money, as they say, and you'll save both with the Wahl groomer.
The long-life-charge of this system is also worth the price of admission. Ever had a trimmer run out of juice in the middle of trimming someone's hair? There's less possibility of that because this model can hold it's charge for up to 10x longer than other models. (This means almost no charge-loss while the unit is in storage.)
In short, if you're into home grooming, you're going to like this product!
