I've been using corded Wahl clippers for many years and use them weekly to trim my hair and beard. Unfortunately, the corded models are a bit heavy for when I travel (I travel light with just one medium bag for several weeks at a time). They also don't work in parts of the world where the electricity frequency differs from the US, unless one uses a heavy transformer. I decided to buy the Wahl Peanut Cordless so that I wouldn't waste time going to barbers who inevitably do a less than satisfactory job.
I'm very pleased with the Peanut. It is very light and runs on just one AA battery. I ditched the battery charger that comes with it since it's too bulky. I use a Tekkeon TekCharge Mobile Power and Battery Charger when I travel since it's an awesome product that charges AA batteries as well as any USB powered device. And I use high capacity, low discharge batteries such as IMEDION AA 2400 mAh low self-discharge batteries (4 Pack) and Kodak - Battery 4 x AA NiMH. With these batteries, I can get several uses from the Peanut.
The Peanut does cut a bit slower than my full-sized corded clippers. The motor is not as robust and the blade is not as wide. But that's expected for a travel model and it really does an admirable job. I've had no issues cutting my head hair or my beard. The only thing I can pick at is the closeness of the cut when no guide is used - the blades trim much much closer than the full sized clippers, and they have a tendency to cause nicks which bleed a little. Just be careful and it won't be a big deal.
