I got this waterpik because we do a lot of traveling. Since our everyday one is larger and bulkier, I thought this portable one would be more travel-friendly and still do the job. Well, it doesn't. There isn't enough power! It has only one setting -- slow, so it doesn't clean the teeth well. The tank is hard to fill as well especially if you're not pouring water in from a faucet; you need a funnel since the opening is very small and the tank needs to be filled twice to complete irrigating the teeth.Customer Review: Dummy Me tried twice still not worth it

I travel the world constantly. I need a good irrigator or my Denist yells at me. As a teenager I used a tank Waterpik and it worked wonderfully so I figured the Portable will to. What a mistake.
This product works well for about 3 months. Then the batteries will not hold a charge. It will not maitain its pressure as the batteries get worn.
The design is poor. You cant get water into it easily and its actully pretty bulky to pack in your suitcase. The transformer will not work for 220v so dont think about taking it overseas. The first one I blew the transformer in Turkey. I knew it wasnt working well so I blamed myself.
The second one still wont hold a charge as well. I now know this product must have cheap batteries in it that really wont charge well.
I hope water pik reads some of these comments because a lot of people feel the same way about this product.
Dont waste your money on it.

I have owned a number of WATERPIK items over many years. My latest one is a portable water jet (cannot be fixed -- if under guarantee they will replace it).
I had one under guarantee (I obviously never learn) and this was the 3rd one I had purchased but they replaced them. HOWEVER, the replacement quit working and when I wrote to them they told me the
guarantee was for the ORIGINAL ONE I BOUGHT -- no replacement on
a replacement (which must have been defective).
I have water piks in all my bathrooms -- but this travel one was
my "portable" for travel.
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE BUY FROM THIS COMPANY THAT DOES NOT
GUARANTEE A REPLACEMENT THAT QUITS WORKING!!!!!

It does what it is supposed to do for a portable item and is good for travel. However, I have had two of these and both stop working after about 50 uses. The battery stops recharging and cannot be replaced. Save your money!!!
