I found a web site where Prevention Magazine had rated different scales. This scale had the best result for the lowest price of the group tested. I then read the reviews on Amazon.com. Even though a few of the reviews were negative, the bulk of the reviews were very positive - so I bought it.
This is the 5th different scale I have purchased in the last 10 years. It is also the first truly reliable scale I have ever owned. My weight finally shows that my weight went up instead of down after a meal and down instead of up after a workout. The fact that weight is displayed in tenths of a pound allows me to see the effect of things I do during the day.

I finally replaced my spring scale with this one. The WW34 is way way more accurate, repeatable, and all those things a scale should be.

Now I know how much way too many things weigh. I weighed myself a few times, it kept repeating the same measurement. That couldn't be true! Shoes. OK. A few repeats with and without holding the shoes. Sweatshirt, jeans ... maybe it's that cup of coffee, how much did I add there ...
You get the idea. It repeated all those measurements.
Now I can't blame the scale.
At least it looks good sitting there on the floor.

The scale matches up with the scale at my doctors office. My old analog scale lied to me and showed about 3lbs less. Sometimes it's nice to be lied to. sigh. lol. I really like that the scale gives your weight to the tenth as well, so you can track even small losses.
I really have no complaints about it. I don't have to kick it to turn it on either. All i do is step onto it with one foot then step off. It takes about 2 seconds for it to read 0 so i can step on it again to get my weight. It's really not a big enough inconvenience to even complain. Overall the scale serves its purpose, and i would recommend it.

This scale is attractive and sturdy and, most importantly, gives an accurate measurement of weight (it matched exactly with the measurement given by the balance scale in my doctor's office). Measurements are also consistent (weight does not change with repeated measurements) and precise (adding or removing clothes impacts the measurement as you would expect).
Also, one note about the red sticker on the middle of the scale. One reviewer commented that it was difficult to tear off and left a sticky residue. I did not have this experience at all. For me, the sticker was easily removed with no residue.

The first shipment of this Scale did not work at all. Turned on but would not register any weight. I called the manufacturer and they told me to return it. Perhaps it had a bad battery?? Amazon sent out a replacement immediately w/o waiting for me to send back the first.
Replacement works great. Very accurate to a tenth of a pound. No problems so far. Also sits low to the ground so I can slide it under almost anything to keep it out of the way in the bedroom. Easy to read numbers except it is not back lit so you need some light shining on it.If it holds up over time, it will be the best scale I have ever had.
