What makes this a magnificent find for vegetarians and vegans is the capsule material. Oily supplements like Vit. E and the carotenes have to be made in a gel-type capsule as regular capsules and vegicaps would be dissolved by them. That almost always means they are made of animal gelatin. This superior antioxidant supplement uses the very hard to find vegetarian "licaps". The mfr. of the licaps reserves the right to test supplements using their product for proper potencies, adding an extra layer of quality control.
If you're up on the latest on Vit. E, you know that mixed tocopherols containing high amounts of gamma tocopherol is the way Vit. E exists in natural food sources and is the form conferring the most protection. This supplement is one of the few which has this more expensive Vit. E. It also contains hard-to-find eye protective astaxanthin and zeaxanthin.
All in all, a great addition to your vitamin regimen, especially if you avoid animal products.
