Customer Reviews of Woolite Dry Cleaner's Secret Dry Cleaning Cloths, 14-Count BoxCustomer Review: Dry Cleaner's Secret saves me a small fortune! Summary: 5 Stars
I work in a Manhattan office and wear dry clean only clothing almost every day. My bills would be immense without this stuff! It rocks. Seriously. I mean how often do people gush about a laundry product?
This has no bags or expensive starter kits like with Dryel. You get a bunch of sheets saturated with cleaner, like thick damp dryer sheets.
You dab off any small smudges, then toss 4-5 pieces of similar colored clothing in the dryer for half an hour with the cleaning sheet.
Hang your clothes up overnight (or for a few minutes if you're like me and end up doing it in the morning!) and they look smooth and reshaped, and smell fresh.
Works great for anything that isn't actually grimy, just out of shape or wrinkled. Now I take my garments to the real dry cleaner every three or four wearings. My job requires a neat and professional appearance, and this stuff does the trick!
Besides the obvious savings, it's less time spent going to the dry cleaner. I buy clothes without fear of the time and expense of cleaning them. And if I want to wear my favorite skirt on a whim, I can. I don't have to wait until I have time to get it to the cleaner.
Obviously, use your common sense. Badly stained or sweaty garments won't work. And if you have a super expensive power suit, take it to an expensive cleaner.
But if your moderately priced dry clean clothing often ends up wrinkled but basically clean, buy this and save. It's never ruined or even damaged an article of my clothing, and for what I'm saving, I could replace the occasional garment if it ever did.
Customer Review: Easy and effective for some dry-cleaning items Summary: 5 Stars
Let's be honest- Professionally dry-cleaned clothes are nicely ironed and spotless. Nothing is going to beat that with any easy-to-use products like this. That being said, the clothes do come out of the dryer as well as it advertised.
"* Helps to freshen your clothing and remove small spots at a fraction of the cost of professional dry cleaning
* Clean a pair of slacks three or four times without losing the crease
* Find clothes ready to wear; no need to iron
* Effective in removing oil-based stains such as mayonnaise, salad dressing and make-up "
I threw in many skirts, dresses and some sweaters with the sheets. They all came out feeling very soft and smelling fresh. Some of my dresses came out without losing their original creases.
As some required some spot cleaning by hand, the sheet did help remove those dirty spots.
Any dresses or blouses for professional dry clean costs at least $5.00 (in my area). With some self-spot-cleaning and the help of the sheet, it does save me a lot of money.
Customer Review: Awesome for keeping jeans looking new Summary: 5 Stars
I wear Levi's 501 shrink-to-fits because they look great... as long as you don't wash or shrink them. So I buy them true to size and they stay nice and dark and fit great, again, as long as I don't wash them.
Therefore, I never wash them, I just rotate and air out the 3-4 pairs I own.
So ever since I started wearing these, I've been looking for ways of cleaning them without shrinking them or losing their look. I've tried putting them in the freezer, quick-washing them with woolite black and cold water, taking them to the dry-cleaners... but none of those worked. My jeans would always end up shrunken or losing some color and looking like regular cheap levi's, and smelling a little funky.
Until now. I throw my levi's in the dryer, buttoned up and inside out, with one of these sheets for 20 minutes and they come out clean, smelling fresh and still looking new.
Customer Review: Superb for sweaters Summary: 5 Stars
I love sweaters, in winter that's pretty much all I wear. Pricey to dry clean though. I just tried one of these sheets on 4 sweaters in the dryer. I'm pretty impressed. Cat fur? Gone. Frumpiness? Gone. Underarm smellies? Gone. Hello fluffy & fresh. I de-pilled a couple of the sweaters by hand before I threw them in. If you do have a stain, I recommend getting a bottle of Guardsman's and use that to de-stain before this process. I'm now going to try it on my jeans, as I read that another reviewer had good results with that. I think now ONE trip to the dry cleaners per season for my sweater cleaning will be enough... and I'll use this for regular maintenance. Oh and I was afraid the scented ones would be too perfumey but the fragrance dissipates rapidly once out of the dryer.
Customer Review: A wonderful money saving clothes cleaning product Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using Dry Cleaaner's Secret for a number of years and it cleans and deodorizes clothing really well. I clean all clothing which cannot be tumble dried after washing (e.g.: line dry or dry flat, etc) unless instructions say do not dry clean, as well as dry clean only items. Instructions say one sheet will clean up to 4 items but I have done up to six or seven at times if the items are not too bulky. I have also dry cleaned pillows and a sleeping bag as well as a comforter. Of course you need an oversized dryer to do the extra large items (sleeping bag/comforter). All it takes is 20 minutes in your dryer on the permanent press cycle. Remove clothes promptly when done so they do not wrinkle from laying in the dryer.
