This product works great for me-- I'll admit it's a bit pricey considering its simple ingredients, but IMHO it is worth the price to avoid getting sinus infections! I found the packaging to be very well done (no clumps--unlike the previous reviewer's comments). Each packet is sealed with an easy to tear edge. The granules are fine and dissolve readily (seem to dissolve on contact in warm water--even before stirring). About 1/2 a packet is enough for 1 neti pot. The solution feels much gentler than when using plain saline alone (probably b/c of the bicarbonate). And the xylitol gives it a pleasant sweet taste (if you ever get any in the back of your throat). But most importantly, I think the addition of the xylitol is most important for its antibacterial properties. Plain saline washes help to clean out some congestion temporarily but don't really seem to do much to prevent infection. After switching to neti Xlear, I have found I can avoid most episodes of sinus congestion from turning into an all out infection.
