Customer Review: ALMOST 5 Stars...Then Again, Maybe Not

We bought this to use primarily for homeschooling, and it has been very helpful! It serves as a make-shift school bell to help the kids learn to follow a schedule better. We recorded Daddy's voice (since the kids already hear my voice all day long) saying things like, "First subject...Science" and "Lunch time!" I'm glad the clock comes with an adapter to plug it in. It has been worth the cost; we'd buy one again. I wish the alarm had a volume control, and eight alarm options instead of six, but other than that, I think it's great!
REVIEW EDIT: It was terrific while it worked! Maybe two full years worth of use is too much to expect, but the voice recording feature gave out, and I noticed a tendency for the time to run slow. Every few months it would be as much as 10 minutes off (with fresh batteries, AND the adapter plugged in). I'd love to buy this again if it were of higher quality.

I purchased this to help my Dad with his medications that he always seems to forget to take. When I took it out of the carton it looked like it had already been opened. Upon trying to record my voice for the alarms it took me 20 minutes and then seemed to stop playing back. I took the battery out and started all over again. It seemed to take this time. Then when my Dad turned off the alarm because he wasn't going to be home, when he turned it back on all of the sound stopped including the clocks own voice!!! I returned and and will not reorder. I was VERY disappointed with this product. I don't know if I got someone elses damaged item or if this was just a piece of junk right out of the box.Customer Review: Bull Horn Alarm Clock

I purchased the "Your Minder Personal Alarm Clock" because you can record up to 6 of your own alarm messages. I thought this would be great for my aging mother that needed reminders to take medications. The voice recording works well, but there is no way to eliminate the other messaging that comes out at 4 times the volume of your recorded message which is very irritating. There is no volume control. I put tape over the speakers to reduce the volume but then my recorded voice could not be heard. The pre-recorded messages are so loud you can hear the clock casing rattle. It is not possible to softly wake up with this siren of a voice going off.Customer Review: Don't waste your Money

The alarms aren't very loud and sound garbled when they do work. Very expensive for such low quality...
