That's part of the deal with any addiction. These are effective. When I first put one on there was a physical response, so I know there's something in them. Now it may be more of a mental thing. I quit smoking for 2 1/2 years cold turkey before. This is easier. I may pick up another box as a mental aid in times of stress, who knows.
I've had a couple "Doh!" moments getting into the shower with these on. If you do that, that patch is pretty much ruined. I just take it off and reapply to the paper it came from, then reapply to self - Upper arms, over the vein, switching sides every few days. People who have trouble sticking, no pun intended, might want to look at their diet.
It's sad that people don't look at nicotine addiction the same as other addictions, just because the government has deemed one thing legal and another illegal doesn't change the way your brain works. Only you can recondition your mind. If you don't have the strength or know-how to do it on your own, maybe you should go to rehab.
