I love my Zona !!! Unlike those that purchased their Zona for BP issues I purchased mine for sympathetic nervous system issues. Since I have a lot of palpitations and fluttering in my chest that has been diagnosed as "nothing", when I use my Zona it has an amazing calming effect within my chest that lasts throughout the day. While my 9 year old daughter is quite "hooked" as well, she comes looking for the Zona asking to use it commenting "it makes me feel good" (I can see a marked difference in her ability to concentrate and is more even tempered), obviously calming her as well. Although I have had my mother use it when we are together and she does have high BP, she observes that she does notice a difference however she is of the generation that unfortunately takes pills. I notice personality pluses in her demeanor as well a marked difference in her attitude, quite amazing ... a pretty unsettled person to be around. Yet she is of the generation that would rather take a pill. TOO BAD! I love my Zona.
Description of Zona Plus - Natural and Effective Cardiovascular Health
The Zona Plus is a small handheld isometric therapy device that has been scientifically proven to improve cardiovascular health. Completing the Zona Plus therapy only requires 12 minutes 5 days a week... that's all!The therapy is simple. First, you squeeze as hard as you can for 1-2 seconds with your right hand, then with your left, each followed by 10 seconds of rest. Next you're directed through four 2-minute sessions, 2 with each hand, separated by 1-minute rest periods. And you just need to do 5 therapy sessions a week to see improvements in your cardiovascular health.
Research indicates that there may be two major measurable effects upon the body caused by Zona Plus therapy. One is improvement in endothelial dysfunction and the other is improved vagal function (a "relaxing" effect). The medical theory for how the isometric therapy devices lower blood pressure is that the combined effects of improved vagal (autonomic nervous system) function and improved endothelial function cause the blood vessels to strengthen, dilate, and become more flexible. These changes reduce resistance to blood flow and allow the heart to move blood through the body more effectively.
