Customer Reviews of gDiapers Biodegradable Diapers Refills, Medium/Large, 32 Count Bags (Pack of 4)Customer Review: Not very satisfied Summary: 1 Stars
It seems almost pointless to argue with the many glowing reviews here of the gDiaper technology, but I must say that having tried this system over the course of two weeks, our results were unsatisfactory. We really like the idea of using a more "green" diaper technology rather than contributing to landfill, but the cost to us in terms of convenience has been unexpectedly high. In the two week trial period, we rarely ever found that our baby's waste was contained by the flushable/compostable insert. Instead, nearly every time, the waste would overflow the insert and soil the plastic lining underneath. Sometimes it would also reach the cloth exterior of the diaper. So we found ourselves having to clean and then launder the plastic linings with alarming regularity. This wouldn't be too much of a problem if we had an unlimited set of plastic linings, but with only three (the number that are included with two cloth diaper exteriors), we found that we quickly ran out of inserts and frustratingly had to do the laundry quickly or resort to regular disposable diapers. The gDiaper system is a good idea, but the hybrid disposable/washable technology is less than effective at doing what it claims, at least in our limited experience.
Customer Review: Disappointed Summary: 1 Stars
Very excited to use this system but the fillers suck!! Leaks urine often and poo gets on the plastic liner all the time. I found Grovia fillers (also biodegradable, compostable, and flushable) and have used them in the G-diaper covers instead. They work great!! No leaks cause they have leg gussets.
Customer Review: Not impressed Summary: 1 Stars
I was so excited to use these. I got them as a shower gift and was very disappointed. They are extremely cute but leak like crazy. Unless you have a baby that doesn't pee a lot then these are not for you.
Customer Review: Shipping to Alaska??? Summary: 1 Stars
Please ship to Alaska! It is ridiculous that gDiapers can't be shipped to Alaska. If you're willing to ship to Florida from Oregon, then you should be willing to ship to Alaska from Oregon!
