When you look at the options to get a replacement bulb, you see there are inexpensive off-brand bulbs and the more expensive original brand. This is a cheap bulb sold for the expensive price.
Semantically they may be covered by calling it "Verilux Replacement Bulb" bulb. It's like selling a Ford Fiesta as a "BMW Replacement Car". Don't fall for it.
Buy from MyGift and you will receive a MyGift Brand Bulb.

The picture from MyGift clearly shows the Verilux bulb, but the bulb received is a knockoff branded MyGift. Generic bulbs on Amazon and other places were about half the MyGift price. I paid extra to get the Verilux bulb, but got the knockoff. Do not buy from MyGift unless you are prepared for less than exemplary ethics.Customer Review: verilux sux
